An encounter with the sea
Porto Covo, besides being a fishing village, is also a hub of tourist interest, with its fine white sand beaches, warmed by the sun, between the cliffs. Its waters are clear and home of rich savory fish that delight visitors.
Historic heart of the village of Porto Covo, Largo Marques de Pombal is one of the wonders of Portuguese folk architecture. The plant, probably from 1789-1794, was inspired by the model Pombal from downtown Lisbon. It is also located the main monument in the village: the Church of Our Lady of Solitude.
